Dal 2021 è Ricercatrice in Storia Greca all’università di Milano Statale, dove insegna Storia Greca nei corsi di laurea in Storia e Conservazione dei Beni Culturali. Precedentemente ha insegnato Storia Greca presso l’Università Johannes Gutenberg di Mainz dal 2013 al 2021. E’ stata borsista di ricerca in Storia Greca presso l’Università di Oxford (2007-2008), Heidelberg (2012), Trento (2012-2013) e Zurigo (2019-2021).
Si occupa di storia sociale e culturale greca dall’età classica all’età imperiale, con particolare attenzione al tema della povertà e dei suoi utilizzi retorici nel corpus degli oratori attici e nei testi teatrali d’età classica. Altri ambiti di ricerca riguardano la cittadinanza greca tra dimensione locale e cosmopolitismo, soprattutto il problema delle cittadinanze multiple nelle fonti letterarie ed epigrafiche di età imperiale (I-II sec. d.C.) e l’impatto della guerra antica sul fronte civile (aspetti psicologici e sociali).
Since 2021 she is Senior Researcher in Greek History at the University of Milano Statale, where she eaches Greek History in the History Department. Before, she taught Greek History at the University Johannes Gutenberg in Mainz from 2013 to 2021. She held research scholarships at the University of Oxford (2007-2008), Heidelberg (2012), Trento (2012-13) and Zurich (2019-2021).
She is interested in the social and cultural history of the Greek world from the classical to the imperial period, with focus on poverty and its discursive constructions in the Attic orators and classical drama. Her other research fields include Greek citizenship between local and cosmopolitan dimension, in particular multiple citizenships in the texts and inscriptions of the imperial period (I-II century AD), and the impact of ancient war on the home front, i.e. its psychological and social implications.
